Halloween! First timers, parades, party, family get together and one very unwelcomed UTI
Today was Mark's first Halloween. It was a lot to take in but I think our little pumpkin had a good time. Here he is having a pre-Halloween festivities snack while Emily iced some cupcakes.
Then we took off for the neighborhood parade and Mommy made the mistake of putting two kids in one wagon with one cup of juice.
Stopped by our friends party to see friends and adorable babies.
Met up with Mimi and Grandma and stopped at the fire truck that was part of the parade.
After the fire truck we headed home, did some more decorating, Ben came home and the grandfathers and uncle Will came over and we all spent the evening eating dinner, passing out candy, eating candy and then collecting some candy. I'm not sure which Emily likes better, passing it out or actually going trick or treating, but she had a blast the whole time.
To make life even more exciting, Emily came down with a UTI the evening before Halloween. Crazy high fever, weird nightmarish ramblings and vomitting. Poor baby! I took her to doc this morning while Mimi stayed with Mark and all the staff at the office was in full costume. That was almost as fun as collecting a sterile sample of urine from a 2 year old. Anyways, we got our diagnosis and her antibiotic by noon, she took a long nap while Mark got some great one on one time, and then she woke up and rallied for a night full of fun and candy. Is it good to eat lots of candy if you are on meds and have recently been ill??
Here are some more pictures from our Halloween evening. Enjoy!
